hello guys,

please i need some help.

our company just bought 2 s5700-si switches.

our network is ( 192.1.1.1 ===> 192.1.1.254), i want to create 10 vlans each using a diffrent subnet(eg: vlan 10 : subnet 192.168.100.0).

the servers are connected to a layer 2 switch.

my question is how can i connect our network to the new subnets ( i configured the ip-subnet vlan on diffrent ports but the ping dosn't work to the new subnets),i connected the layer 3 switch to the network with 192.1.1.222 for managment interface,the static route between the 192.1.1.222 and the 192.1.1.0 is created automatically.

the ping still dosen't work.

can you specify the procees i am a rookie :)

thanks for the reply,

the architecture is very simple ( a router is connected to distribution small switches(4 ports) acroos the companny and a layer 2 switch to connect 2 blade systems containing each 4 servers),you have to put in mind that i am an intern and the company is small (around 200 pc and printers).

i want to configure the netork like this:

where exactly should i put the new layer 3 switches?

thank you very much.
