Hi,

My client has two types of s series switches : 18 s5700-28X-LI-DC switches and 10 S7706. My client is a local telecom operator and is going to use these switches for metro ethernet extenstion. I currently need to implement a QoS mapping between DSCP and MPLS EXP fields in every one of the switches. I want to know first, does these switches support mapping between DSCP and EXP priorities? Could you please provide me with a configuration example?
Please to help me, we have wasted much time on searching but still don't know if these switches support DSCP/EXP mapping and how to do it.

Best regards

Hi,

It will depend what versions of OS you have on your switches but from checking the documentation, I think the commands you need for mapping between EXP and DSCP values are "mpls-exp-inbound" and "mpls-exp-outbound". Both these commands are documented in the MPLS sections of the documentation and both are definitley available in VRP V2R5 on S5700 and S770 switches.

There are also some "mpls-qos" commands which may also provide suitable functionality, I am afraid I have not used any of these commands, so cannot provide any examples or advice but hopefully this will give you a starting point!

Regards Nigel
