I have read the documentation for S5720-SI switch but found nothing regarding local PBR support.

Does this switch support it?

More specifically I need to create rules for locally generated traffic (i.e. generated by switch), NOT transit traffic.

we always configure MQC to implement PBR feature, and MQC is always apply at the inbound of a interface, so PBR is always for transit traffic. and S5720-SI can support PBR from V2R8 firmware. for the local traffic, since it is generated by CPU, switch has different kind of local traffic, some local traffic is sent to out interface directly, in this case, you only can apply MQC at the outbound of the out interface. in this case, local PBR is impossible, you can contact Huawei TAC and elaborate your requirement in details. let Huawei engineer find some solution for your requirement.
