Device - S7700 (V200R003C00SPC300)

We have received this error initially when we tried to apply access list.

Error:Adding rule failed . Insufficient resource in policy

Problem ***ysis:-

While checking the acl resource from S7700 switch, we found that Inbound-ACL rule Insufficient

For board “ES0D0X12SA00”
It only has 2048 acl resources(512 reserve for  cp-car ) And already run out of it

<DEBS-FF-CORE-AVN-PHASE1>dis acl resource
Slot  1
                    Vlan-ACL    Inbound-ACL  Outbound-ACL
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Rule Used                9         1747            0
  Rule Free             1015          301          512
  Rule Total            1024         2048          512

  Meter Used               0           26            0
  Meter Free               0         2022          512
  Meter Total              0         2048          512

  Counter Used             0           86            0
  Counter Free             0         1962          512
  Counter Total            0         2048          512

Solution :-

We replaced the board which can support a higher acl resource.
