I have S1720-28GWR-4X-E and i put SFP+ module capable of multibitrate to this switch. There is no "speed 1000" command and if i try "undo negotiation auto" i get Error: This port or this mode does not support this command.

In S9303 is possible to set "speed 1000". I try put these SFP+ modules to SFP ports on S5700 and works like a charm in 1G mode.

Any workaround how to run SFP+ in 1G mode on S1720 series? Both sides will we SFP+ modules and one side is not capable run in 10G mode, so this will be preparation to switch to 10G in future without changing modules.

I'm running V200R011C10SPC600 and patch V200R011SPH008.

Thank you.

@Tomiczech hi, when insert an 10GE optical module in the XGE interface, the interface does't support auto negotiation. so when you input command undo negotiation auto, the switch will reture an error log.
