Backup

hi,

 I configured a suplimentaire interface for Backup with this command (standby interface Ethernet2/0/0 ) but my boss did not like this setup because it says that the command test only on the availability of the router interface by cons if the internet connection does not work and the interface is diponible the backup function will not start! 

 could you help me  !!

we just can support single-point failure.  or you can choose load balance mode .

Hi,

 

You have a number of options which may suit your requirements, you have not provided enough information to be any more specific:

 

you have several "standby track" options including "ip route", "bfd" and "nqa". Please view the appropriate product documentation for examples of these and how to configure them.

we have lacp mode for your reference. I don't know which device mode you use.

maybe lacp your device support.

Hi guys for the backup issues i can actually suggest you with one software and that is "Ahsay software" I am basically using this software from long time and really satisfied using this software. Not only i take backup but also ia ma using it for restoring files also.
