Fault Description

A card resets unexpectedly during operating.

Possible Causes

  • The power cable or power module is not securely installed.
  • The card is not securely connected to the backplane.
  • The input voltage is unstable.
  • There are thunderstorms.

Troubleshooting Procedure

  1. Turn off the power switch on the router, reinstall the power cable and power module properly, and turn on the power switch.

  2. Reinstall the card to ensure that it is securely connected to the backplane.

  3. Check whether the input voltage is stable. If lights in the equipment room flicker, use a voltage regulator to maintain the voltage or power the router with an uninterruptible power supply.

  4. Connect the ground point on the router to an indoor equipotential terminal to mitigate the risks of unexpected resets caused by lightning.
