Hello everyone!
Today, I’d like to share a case.
Problem Description
On U2000 V200R016C10SPC250,
After modifying the performance period for RNC from 30mins to 60mins,
we were able to see it on the measurement settings tab on U2000 with the 30mins tab changed to 60mins tab and the measure status for the RNC counters were actived and measured for 60mins period.
Also we were able to query performance for this RNC NE on U2000 i.e. we were able to get the period result on U2000,
but the UTRAN PM Stats files became unavailable on the U2000 Server file path: /opt/oss/server/var/fileint/pm.
No alarm information on U2000 but could not export performance data for RNC on U2000 to the NMS for performance analysis.
Problem Analysis
The northbound export parameters set on the U2000 contains the period supported by each NE mediation on the U2000,
Thus after modifying the period on U2000 from 30mins to 60mins,
the Measuring function subset for the RNC could be found under the 60mins period tab in the Performance Data Export attribute under Task Management on U2000
client on the left pane as one of the set measuring function subset but not under the selected function subsets on the right pane (view attached for more clarification) ,
so performance data of the RNC was not exported to the file path: /opt/oss/server/var/fileint/pm.
Root Cause
NA
Solution Description
Since the NMS can export the NE data from the performance database to the specified path on the U2000 server i.e.
/opt/oss/server/var/fileint/pm and then provide this NE data to the NMS according to the northbound export parameters set on the U2000.
Thus we need to also adjust the period set in the attribute of the Performance Data Export on U2000 client after period modification on U2000 by doing the following:
1. Login to the U2000 client as user admin.
2. Click on Maintenace > Task Management > File Interface.
3. Right-Clcik on the Performance Data Export and then click on Attribute.
4. Click on the Extended Parameters.
5. Click on the modified period e.g 60mins. You will notice that the Function subsets on the left pane consist of the RNC NE Measuring Function subsets.
6. Click on these function subsets and move them to the right pane.
7. Click on Apply and then ok .
