Problem description
RH2288H V5 server fails to power on during BIOS upgrade.
Analysis process
We collected the server log and checked the operate log.
Analyzed the dump_info\LogDump\operate_log log.
1. The BIOS of the server is upgraded at 01:10:13, December 19, 2019. During the operation, the BIOS file is successfully uploaded to an iBMC directory, which takes more than 10 seconds.
2. 20 minutes later, the server powers off (at 01:31:30).
3. After the server powers off, the BIOS starts to take effect. This process takes about 10 minutes.
4. The iBMC delivers two server power-on commands at 01:31:51 and 01:31:55; at the time of the BIOS being upgraded, the server could not be powered on. As a result, a message is displayed indicating that the power-on fails.
4. The server is powered on at 10:09:27.
Cause analysis
Server power-on is not allowed during BIOS upgrade. As a result, the server fails to be powered on.

Solution
Power on the server after the BIOS has been upgraded.
