192.168.100.1 opens via WiFi connection, but not Ethernet

Hi, I have problem. Huawei EchoLife HG8145V5 management page opens and works when I'm connected with WiFi, but not opens when I connected to ONT with Ethernet.

I have used different laptops and different ethernet cables, but I'm getting Error connection timed out.

When I send ping I get response from 192.168.100.1, but from different browsers I can't connect to 192.168.100.1 also using two different laptops.

How to fix this?

Hello!


HG8145V5 default username password

Common user (terminal user):


  • Username: root;

  • Password: adminHW.


HG8145V5 efault ip address

  • IP address: 192.168.100.1;

  • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0.


Note:


1. The information on the nameplate on the rear of the device prevails.


2. If you cannot log in, the password may have been changed. You can retrieve the initial password only after restoring the factory settings. Restoring the factory settings of the device will cause all the configuration data of the device to be lost. Please exercise caution when performing this operation.


3. If you want to obtain the administrator's username and password, please contact your device supplier.


Would you like to press the reset button once or press and hold? If you press this button only once, the device restarts. You need to hold down the button for 10 seconds to reset the device. If you cannot log in to the local PC, use any of the following methods:


1. Press and hold this button for more than 10 seconds to restore the device to its factory settings.

2. Log in to the ONT from the OLT through Telnet and run the command to restore the ONT to factory settings.

3. Restore factory settings on the NMS.


Logging in to the Web Configuration Window


Step 1. Set the IP address of the PC in the same subnet as the management IP address of the PON terminal. You can find the default management IP address on the nameplate of the device.


Step 2. Enter the management IP address of the PON terminal in the address bar of the Internet Explorer and press Enter. The login window is displayed.


Step 3. In the login window, select your preferred language, enter the username and password (printed on the nameplate of the device) and click Login. After the password is authenticated, the web configuration window is displayed.


Note:


1. Being shipped from different manufacturing batches, the nameplates of some devices do not have the IP address, username and password printed. In such a case, log in to the device using 192.168.100.1root (username), and adminHW (password).


2. If you do not perform any operations after logging into the system for five minutes, you will exit the system and the system automatically returns to the login interface.


3. The system will be locked if you input the incorrect username and password for 3 consecutive times. One minute later, it will be unlocked.


4. Change the initial password after logging in to the web page.

Hi friend!


You can try the following methods:


  • use a different ethernet port on the PC (might have to add a NIC if you have an old one laying around);

  • use a different ethernet port on the router;

  • use a different ethernet cable;

  • try a different router;

  • try a shorter cable.


The HG8145V5 is a Carrier product. If the fault persists, contact your ISP.

Thanks friend, but I haven't any problem to access management page. Login and password works, but web browser can't. open page 192.168.100.1, it simply cannot load and drops ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT, but when I try to open 192.168.100.1 from device which connected to the network via WiFi management page on 192.168.100.1 opens in any browser and from any device. My problem is: 192.168.100.1 didn't loads from computer which connected to the network via Ethernet. For example PC via Ethernet has IP: 192.168.100.4, Laptop via WiFi 192.168.100.3. Page. 192.168.100.1 loads from Laptop, but not loads from PC. Also from PC it's possible to send ping to 192.168.100.1, but from browser not works

You need a connection with the LAN port and to configure the PC with the same subnet.
Then try to log in again.

From PC which is connected over Ethernet I have access to Internet and also 192.168.100.1:3333 is accessible from browser. 192.168.100.1:3333 show some symbols (or binary data, or something encoded) when I open this page, but 192.168.100.1 not opens.

I think your Internet provider block the access to configuration panel.
Please contact your ISP

You are right. Yesterday was late night, that's why I have wrote here, but now I have called to ISP and they said that blocked access remotely.

I have scanned with nmap, ports 53 and 3333 only accessible, other ports, also 80 is closed, but interesting thing that port 80 is closed only for device which is connected by Ethernet

Hi! My best guess is... you have another device on the ethernet side responding to 192.168.100.4, port 80... That 'eats up' the return traffic... on wireless, it has no chance of doing so.
