1288H V5 unable to connect to Oceanstor 5500 V5

Dear all,

I am in th midst if deploying 10 1288H V5 connecting to OceanStor 5500 V5 using 10gb iscsi connection (using Intel X550 Dual port 10G Base-T adapter in the server). The servers will host ESXi 6.7.


However, it seems that I am unable to connect between any of the servers to the storage. Have tested it going through 10gb switch failed. Direct connect from the server to the storage also failed.


The storage does not automatically detects the IQN from the ESXi. Even after manually key in the IQN, connection can't be established. As of that, I can't map any virtual drive from the storage to the servers.


I have another standalone Windows server (1288H V5) which able to connect to the same storage, but using FC connection.


Can anyone please point me the correct steps to make it successful.

Hi, Din!

If the direct connection from the server to the storage fails, I guess that the physical link is abnormal.  

You can do as follows to check it.

1. Check if the flexible nic of 1288H V5 is working at 10 GB by clicking here.

2. Check if the working mode is matched with the server by clicking here.

If they could not solve your problem, please send photos of the fibre modules and boards to me.
