Hello all,

The optical power information of the 100GE interface on the NE40E is as follows:


Rx Optical Power Total: 5.92dBm, Tx Optical Power Total: 6.38dBm

Rx normal range: [-10.604, 4.500]dBm, Tx normal range: [-4.300, 4.500]dBm

Rx Optical Power[0]: -0.14dBm, Tx Optical Power[0]: 0.63dBm

Rx Optical Power[1]: -0.41dBm, Tx Optical Power[1]: 0.41dBm

Rx Optical Power[2]: 0.14dBm, Tx Optical Power[2]: 0.22dBm

Rx Optical Power[3]: 0.01dBm, Tx Optical Power[3]: 0.18dBm


There are two kinds of values: Rx Optical Power Total and  Rx Optical Power[X].

Which of the values is used to determine whether the optical power is within the normal range?

Hi Hobbit,

In fact, a 100GE optical port has four 25G optical waves. The X in parentheses is for each wave.

To determine whether the optical power is within a reasonable range, just check the four Rx Optical Power[X].
