Hello everyone!
Today, I’d like to share a case.
Problem description
L1 create a 1+1 client protection, when do the test meet the follow problem,(network check the attachment).
Scenario 1:
When the fiber is broken between Tx1 and RI11, by removing the fiber from port RI11 (This is how I break GE_1), both GE_1 and GE_2 switches to the protection LOG board. This is tested by shutting down the laser on Rx1/Tx1. So the problem is that traffic switches from both Rx1/Tx1 and Rx2/Tx2, when in reality ONLY Rx1/Tx1 should have switched.
Situation when switch occurs:
Rx1/Tx1 ---> Current Channel = Protect; Working Channel = SF; Protect Channel = Normal
Rx2/Tx2 ---> Current Channel = Protect; Working Channel = Normal; Protect Channel = Normal (This should not happen, correct?)
Scenario 2:
When the working LOG board is removed, all traffic switches to the protection LOG board. This test is OK.
Situation when switch occurs:
Situation when switch occurs:
Rx1/Tx1 ---> Current Channel = Protect; Working Channel = SF; Protect Channel = Normal
Rx2/Tx2 ---> Current Channel = Protect; Working Channel = SF; Protect Channel = Normal
Scenario 3:
Situation when switch occurs:
When the IN fiber is removed from the working LOG board, all traffic switches to the protection LOG board. This is OK.
Rx1/Tx1 ---> Current Channel = Protect; Working Channel = SF; Protect Channel = Normal
Rx2/Tx2 ---> Current Channel = Protect; Working Channel = SF; Protect Channel = Normal
Scenario 4:
When the IN fiber is removed from the protection LOG board, nothing happens to the working channel. The working channel remains in the normal state.
However, a problem occurs when the IN fiber is plugged back into the protection LOG board, the protection channel = Normal. But the GE_1 and GE_2 both switch to the protect channel.
Situation which occurs:
When IN fiber is removed from the protection LOG board
Rx1/Tx1 ---> Current Channel = Work; Working Channel = SF; Protect Channel = SF
Rx2/Tx2 ---> Current Channel = Work; Working Channel = SF; Protect Channel = SF
When IN fiber is plugged back in to the protection LOG board
Rx1/Tx1 ---> Current Channel = Protect; Working Channel = Normal; Protect Channel = Normal
Rx2/Tx2 ---> Current Channel = Protect; Working Channel = Normal; Protect Channel = Normal
Why does this switch happen? When the protection channel is normalized, the current channel should not become the Protect Chanel.
NE: OSN6800 V100R005C00
NMS:U2000 V100R006C00
Handling process
1,May caused by the not fit between NMS and NE.
2,May caused by the physics fiber connect faulty.
3,May caused by the not match between the cards and NE.
Root cause
N/A
Solution
1,Check the NMS version is new, can fit the NE version.Exclude the reason 1.
2,Check the physics fiber connect is the same as logic.Exclude the reason 2.
3,Check the DCP version is too low ,upgrade the NE version the issue resolved, details see the attachment.

We’ll study together.
