[Symptom]
Alarm 0x1000400E009 The NDMP backup task on device XX fails. For details, see (4) in Possible Causes. The symptom is as follows:
[Troubleshooting Roadmap]
1. According to the alarm description, the possible causes are other. (Backup tasks that are stopped proactively on the NUB side, failure to access the file system, and failure to access the tape library.)
2. Log in to the node that reports the alarm, for example, C36-Node-06, and check the ndmplog file in the /var/log/platform directory. The following information is displayed: (The keyword TLM_STOP or TLM_ABORT exists around the alarm time.) , indicates that the alarm is triggered by the backup task that the upper-layer backup software proactively disconnects.
[Cause]
The upper-layer backup software proactively disconnects the backup task, and the related backup data is not delivered to the storage device. The storage device detects that the related link is disconnected and reports an important event. This alarm is not triggered by the storage device and requires the upper-layer software to restart the backup task.
[Solution]
1. Restart the backup task of the upper-layer backup software.
