%%01NTP/4/SOURCE_LOST(l)[4]:System synchronization source lost

Hi Team, 

I have an AR1200 which lost it's IPSec tunnel and came online after few hours without any changes.
The following can be seen on the loggbuffer. 


Oct 30 2020 14:24:56+00:00 Austing %NTP/4/PEER_SELE(l)[0]:The peer selected by the system is 10.113.25.2.

Oct 30 2020 14:24:56+00:00 Austing %NTP/4/STRATUM_CHANGE(l)[1]:System stratum changes from 16 to 3 after clock update.

Oct 30 2020 14:24:56+00:00 Austing %NTP/4/LEAP_CHANGE(l)[2]:System leap changes from 3 to 0 after clock update.

Oct 30 2020 14:24:56+00:00 Austing %NTP/4/PEER_SELE(l)[3]:The peer selected by the system is 10.113.25.2.

Oct 30 2020 00:42:39+00:00 Austing %NTP/4/SOURCE_LOST(l)[4]:System synchronization source lost.


Can you please let me know what caused this to happen? 
And what's the work around?

Hi user_3671176, 

For NTP/4/PEER_SELE, NTP/4/STRATUM_CHANGE, NTP/4/LEAP_CHANGE, 

Possible Cause:

Cause 1:
When the system starts to select a clock source. 

Cause 2:
The synchronization clock source is switched during the synchronization.

These are normal information and no action is required.

For NTP/4/SOURCE_LOST,

Possible Cause:

During clock synchronization, if the current synchronization source is lost due to certain reasons and no other candidate synchronization source is available, the system generates a clock loss log.
