MSC POOL with Different Platforms
|
The feature is introduced in V100R007C03/V200R008C00. Summary: The MSC POOL with Different Platforms feature enables both the CPCI-based and ATCA-based MSOFTX3000s of a same service version (CS9.2 for example) to be deployed in an MSC Pool. This feature ensures a smooth upgrade, capacity expansion, and deployment of an MSC Pool. MSOFTX3000s of the different service versions cannot be deployed in an MSC Pool. Benefits: Carriers can improve the operation of the MSC Pool, sharpen the competitive edge, and ensure a smooth evolution and reconstruction of the network. Description: On MSOFTX3000 V100R009C02/V200R009C02 or later, data consistency check function of the MSC Pool is optimized. The MML command parameters on the CPCI-based and ATCA-based MSOFTX3000 vary due to different requirements on these two platforms. When consistency check of these parameters on both the ATCA-based and CPCI-based MSOFTX3000 is implemented on the M2000, performance of the data consistency check function is affected on MSOFTX3000 earlier than V100R009C02/V200R009C02. On MSOFTX3000 V100R009C02/V200R009C02 or later, when inconsistency occurs, it can be identified and shielded. Enhancement:
Dependency: This function requires supports of the M2000.

very true, our present deployment for MSC-Pool is combination of both CPCI & ATCA. But note the CPCI has a lot of challange especially CPU when it also handles off net traffic, best to restrict it to VLR function only. |
