Basic Concepts

When you add, delete, or modify data on the OMU, the OMU synchronizes data to host modules. This process is called online setting. When online setting fails, the OMU performs online resetting.

Alarm Mechanism

The alarm mechanism for the failure to read the format conversion file during online setting is as follows:

This alarm is generated when the UPCC fails to read the format conversion file during online setting.
This alarm is cleared when OMU data files become consistent with the host data after STR CRC is executed in the MML Command - UPCC window.

Figure 1 shows the alarm mechanism for the failure to read the format conversion file during online setting.
