Subscriber Group

Configuration

Subscribers are logically divided into subscriber groups. One subscriber can belong to multiple dynamic subscriber groups. A dynamic subscriber group consists of the subscribers dynamically identified by the UPCC. Administrators define a dynamic subscriber group based on one or more subscriber attributes (including SGSN MCCMNC, IMSI prefix and MSISDN prefix) obtained over the Gx interface and provide services to the group. When a subscriber uses the mobile data network to establish an IP-CAN session, the UPCC automatically adds the subscriber to a dynamic subscriber group based on the pre-defined attributes. Then, the subscriber can use the services provided for the group. The subscriber, however, cannot use the services provided for the group after the session is terminated.

To add a subscriber group, perform the following steps:

  1. In the navigation tree, choose Subscriber Management > Subscriber > Subscriber Group. The subscriber group query page is displayed.
  2. Click Add. The Add Subscriber Group dialog box is displayed.
  3. Set basic information about the subscriber group on the Basic Information tab page, as shown in Figure 1. For details about the parameters
