3G-2G RAU Failure Due to Lack of Service Handover Configuration

Fault symptom: i) After the SGSN is replaced by a new one in an office, some services fail to be handed over from the 3G network to the 2G network. ii)384K service fail to handover to 2G, while other services success. lBackground knowledge: The RNC decide the service handover strategy according to the “service handover” IE in the RAB ASSIGNMENT REQUEST and RELOCATION REQUEST message from SGSN(high priority) or the local service handover strategy configuration(low priority). lTroubleshooting: p1. Check and modify new SGSN data configurations. p2. Or check and modify the handover policy on the RNC. |
