Frequency Re-use and Capacity:

Frequency reuse concept: neighboring cells having different frequencies.

–Depending on traffic load and the availability of frequencies, a cell may have one or more frequencies.

–

–The same frequencies can not be re-used in neighboring cells as they would interfere with each other, so special patterns of frequency usage are determined during the planning of the network.

–

Frequency bandwidth is limited. So frequency re-use scheme is used along with a low power sectorial antenna in the BTS to accommodate huge users in a small geographical area like Dhaka city.
