The IPv4 address range of a BGP peer is as follow:

1.This first field cannot be 0 or 127. The address cannot be a multicast address that begins with 224 or 225.

2.The address cannot be a local address. For example, the address cannot be the address of an interface on the device.

The IPv6 address range of a BGP peer is as follow:

1.The address cannot be ::, ::1, or a multicast address that begins with 0xff.
2.The address cannot be a local address including a link-local address. For example, the address cannot be the address of an interface on the device.
