Bandwidth of WCDMA

Though CDMA 2000 series operate with 1.25 MHz, initially proposal for WCDMA was 5 MHz

Benefits of using 5MHz:

- Enough to provide data rates at 384 kbps(Target of 3G) and even 2Mbps in very good radio condition

- Larger bandwidth shows more robustness to noise compared to narrow bandwidth
