It is important to use IT to connect a variety of everyday living services to public infrastructures in a smart city. Communication network which is necessary to establish all sorts of connections, including human to human, human to machine, machine to machine. A communication network that can connect all sorts of things is required that can achieve a convenient and comfortable lifestyle for people, while at the same time giving consideration to ways of reducing the systems impact on the natural environment. For instance, when cloud services, videoconferencing, and other such services that utilize high-speed and high-capacity communication networks spread, this allows corporations and local governments to move forward not only in the increase of work efficiency and the improvement of convenience, but in the creation of new value as well. In the home as well, in addition to the connection of telephones and PCs to the Internet, by connecting all other types of devices including home appliance products and automobiles to the network, it becomes possible to expand a lifestyle that is more enjoyable, more secure, and more convenient.
