Laser Safety Guidelines

1.Read the relevant instructions before installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment. Ignoring the instructions can cause in exposure to dangerous laser radiation.

2.You are recommended to wear eye-protective glasses when handling lasers or fibers.

3.All the operation shall be performed by authorized personnel who satisfactorily completed an approved training course.

4.Make sure that the optical source is switched off before disconnecting optical fiber connectors.

5.Before opening the front door of an optical transmission system, always take care that you are not exposed to laser radiation.

6.Never look into the end of an exposed fiber or an open connector as long as you are not sure whether the optical source is switched on or off.

7.Please use optical power meter to check that the optical source is switched off by measuring the optical power.

8.Never use optical instrument such as a microscope, magnifying glass or eye loupe to view the optical connector or fiber.
