Platform Security

Platform security is enhancing operation and it is including operating system hardening. These operations increase the security levels of operating systems and provide a secure and reliable platform for OSS service applications.

In terms of security risks on operating systems and based on the risk assessment provided by Center for Internet Security (CIS) NG, Huawei provides security hardening solutions for increasing the security levels of operating systems. Third-party antivirus software is installed to protect SUSE Linux against virus and worm threats. Figure 1 describes the security policies for operating systems.

• Operating System Hardening
  Users are advised to use the hardening tools and policies provided by the CNAP to enhance operating systems based on the features of CNAP service applications.

• Antivirus Solutions for Operating Systems
  Antivirus solutions for operating systems are applicable to Windows and SUSE Linux.
