By default, the network type of an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) interface is Non-broadcast Multiple Access Network (NBMA), whose Hello interval is 30 seconds by default. Therefore, neighbor relationship establishment is slow. To speed up OSPF neighbor relationship establishment on an ATM interface,
perform the following steps:
On the ATM interface, run the ospf timer hello interval command, for example,

[SAVAR_NE40E] ospf timer hello 10

On the peer interface, configure the same Hello interval.
