Service Management Layer

The service management layer provides value-added services and operation support. The components at the service management layer are as follows:

• Integrated operation support system (iOSS): includes an integrated charging system and a network management system which conducts centralized management on the NGN components.
• Policy server: manages subscriber policies, such as:

  • Access control list (ACL)
  • Bandwidth
  • Traffic
  • QoS
