- Check whether the alarm box exists.
- Run SET ALMSHLD in the MML Command - CGP window to shield the alarm. After about 20 seconds, check whether the alarm is cleared in the Browse Alarms window.
- Yes: No further action is required.
- No: Go to Step 16.
Choose Alarm > Alarm Box Operation > Alarm Box Version on HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System. If the message "The alarm box is in offline state" is displayed, it indicates that the alarm box is offline. -
- Check whether the power switch of the alarm box is turned on.
- Clear the alarm manually. No further action is required.
- Turn on the power switch and wait for about 20 seconds. Check whether the alarm is cleared.
- Yes: No further action is required.
- No: Go to Step 7.
- Check the manner in which the alarm box connects to the OMU.
- Through the RMU => Step 8.
- Through the Alarm box tool => Step 11.
- Check whether the ALM-8301 Communication Failure Between OMU and RMU is generated in the Browse Alarms [MEID=0] window.
- Clear the ALM-8301 Communication Failure Between OMU and RMU and wait for about 20 seconds. Check whether this alarm is cleared.
- Yes: No further action is required.
- No: Go to Step 10.
