Differences Between the Operation Codes in Different MAP Versions of Service Flo

§  In the case of MAP phase 1, operation code SEND_PARAMETERS(9) is used. In the case of MAP Phase 2 and Phase 2+, operation code SEND_AUTHENTICATION_INFO (56) is used.

§  In the case of SM originating and terminating in MAP phase 1 and MAP phase 2, operation code FORWARD_SHORT_MESSAGE(46) in MAP phase 1 is used in SM originating and terminating. In MAP phase 2+, operation code MO_FORWARD_SM(46) is used in SM originating, and operation code MT_FORWARD_SM(44) is used in SM terminating.

§  When the user make MAP phase phase 1 recur (including short message user recurrence), operation code NOTE_MS_PRESENT (48) is used. In MAP phase 2 and MAP phase 2+, operation code READY_FORSM (66) is used.

§   In MAP phase 1, the purge operation is not supported. In MAP phase 2 and MAP phase 2+, after the user is deleted in the SGSN, the HLR is notified through PURGE_MS (67).
