|
With the online charging function, network devices can take control action on service flows in real time in specific scenarios or with specific conditions met, enhancing carriers network management and control capabilities. The UGW9811 implement the Direct Credit Control through the CCR message. The scenarios for CCR transmission are as follows: · Interworking with the OCS server during PDP context/EPS bearer activation The UGW9811 implements the following functions by interworking with the OCS server during PDP context/EPS bearer activation: § Checking whether online charging is specified in a subscribers subscription data: Online charging subscribers planned on the UGW9811 perhaps have not subscribed to the online charging function. Only the OCS server can identify online charging subscribers. § Checking whether a subscriber has subscribed to the service carried in a CCR message: If the subscriber has not subscribed to the service, the UGW9811 can push a subscription page or inform the subscriber of the situation. Note that the OCS server can check whether a service is subscribed either when a PDP context/EPS bearer is being activated or when the subscriber is attempting to access the service. § Applying for initial quotas for services carried in CCR messages: With initial quotas, a subscriber can access services immediately after the subscriber is activated, which ensures service continuity and improves user experience. |
