Application Scenario of Gy/Diameter Interface

The UGW9811 supports the Gy/Diameter interface defined in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) protocol. By using this interface to interwork with the OCS server, the UGW9811 implements the online charging function, including normal online charging and content-based online charging. Meanwhile, the UGW9811 can automatically redirect a service request when the subscribers account balance is insufficient or the subscriber has not subscribed to the requested service.

·         When a subscriber is using data services, the UGW9811 controls the subscribers account balance and service usage in real time to implement prepaid charging.

·         If a subscriber has not subscribed to a service or the subscribers account balance is insufficient, the UGW9811 rejects or redirects the subscribers service request.

·         Supports content-based online charging in addition to volume-based online charging.

·         Supports event-based online charging and volume-based online charging in addition to time-based online charging.
