Definition

The Session-Id AVP is generated by the PCEF and is used to uniquely identify an IP-CAN session. The Session-Id AVP in all the messages pertaining to an IP-CAN session must be the same.

Application Scenario

The PCEF includes the Session-Id AVP in a CCR-I message and sends the CCR-I message to the UPCC. In the CCR-I message, the Session-Id AVP follows the Diameter Header. After the UPCC obtains the Session-Id AVP, it adds the Session-Id AVP to the subsequent response messages related to this session.
