This feature was introduced in M2000 V200R010. The original CME release is WRAN CME V100R008.

Summary:

The third-party system imports the modified transport parameters into the CME through the NBI for importing files. Then, the CME automatically generates MML or XML configuration scripts based on the imported files and sends them to NEs through the script executor for the modification to take effect.

Benefits:
The NBIs for importing and exporting files help normalize the devices of different vendors. This allows users to quickly and correctly configure and manage the NEs based on the planned data. The NBI for exporting files and that for importing files form a closed loop, which can be used to check data correctness.

Description:

Through the NBI for importing files, users can add, delete, and modify transmission parameters. Before users perform the previous operations, the M2000 checks the validity of UMTS radio parameters and neighboring cell parameters. If these parameters pass the check, the M2000 delivers the parameters to NEs. Otherwise, the M2000 generates an error report.

Configuration data can be imported in files of the following format:
  •  XML

Managed objects can be organized in the following structures in an XML file:

?  Parent-child structure (not applied to co-MPT multimode base stations)

?  Flat structure (applied only to NEs in SRAN8.0 and later versions)

The M2000 supports parameter hierarchy (applied only when managed objects are organized in flat structure):

  • Commonly used parameters are provided by default and apply to routine maintenance scenarios.
  • Uncommonly used parameters are user-defined and apply to special scenarios. Base station and base station controller parameters can be imported as one XML file or different XML files.

Enhancement:

The following functions are added to M2000 V200R013C00:

  • Configuration data of NEs in SRAN8.0 and later versions can be imported as an XML file and organized in flat structure in the file.
  • Base station controller and base station parameters can be imported as different XML files for NEs in SRAN8.0 and later versions.
  • Parameters hierarchy is supported for NEs in SRAN8.0 and later versions.

Dependency:

This feature, together with the feature WOFD-100150 CORBA Bulk CM, supports the BulkCM northbound interface defined by 3GPP specifications.
