Multimedia Fallback Function

When a calling party initiates a multimedia call, the multimedia call is changed to an ordinary call in any of the following cases during the call connection process.

The called terminal does not support thevideophone (VP) call.

The called party does not answer the phone in VP mode.

The called terminal does not subscribe to VP services.

The called terminal roams to a GSM network.

The calling terminal or called terminal switches to the GSM network during the VP call.

This function is applicable in both R99 and R4 networking.

 The UMG8900, together with the MSC server , supports the multimedia fallback function.
