Symptom

When a subscriber who is provided with the caller ID display (CID) service receives a call, the caller number is not displayed or an incorrect number is displayed.

Possible Causes

  • The configuration of the CID service is incorrect.
  • The CID service conflicts with new services.
  • The configuration of the call prefix attribute is incorrect.
  • The configuration of the software parameter that determines number transmission is incorrect.
  • The inter-office signaling cooperation is abnormal.
  • The external cable is faulty.
  • The phone set is faulty.

Figure 1 shows the procedure for troubleshooting the abnormal display of the caller number.

    Check the Data Configuration

    Check Whether the SoftX3000 Sends the Correct Caller Number to the MGW on the Callee Side

    Check the Phone Set

    Check the Subscriber Board and Subscriber External Cable on the MGW
