Bearer binding and event reporting function (BBERF) is a standard function entity in the PCC architecture and is deployed in the HSGW when the eHRPD accesses the EPC. The BBERF interworks with the PCRF over the Gxx interface and interworks with the PGW over the PMIPv6-based S2a interface. The BBERF performs bearer binding and uplink bearer binding verification and reports events to the UPCC
