 Security services for configuring a set of three independent security functions: authentication, authorization, and accounting. Authentication provides the method of identifying a user when the user uses the resources in the network system. Authorization provides the method of authorizing a user a specific way to use the resources in the network system. Accounting provides the method of collecting and recording security server information used for billing or auditing. Accounting enables you to track the services that users are accessing and the amount of network resources that they are consuming
