The CBS has the following advantages:

Compared with the point-to-point service, the CBS enables multiple UEs to receive the same message, saving system resources.
CBS service areas (SAs) map with physical cells in a one-on-one manner. This enables
CBS messages to be broadcast in designated areas.

To meet the customers requirements efficiently, Huawei employs two types of cell broadcast centers (CBCs) to implement the CBS, namely, external CBC and built-in CBC.
