The SoftX3000 is a core component for our fixed core network solutions. It implements call control and signaling & protocol processing to provide basic services and supplementary services. It also interworks with application server (AS) to provide diversified value-added services to subscribers. It can also function as AGCF, enabling smooth network evolution and protecting operators existing investment.
Features
The SoftX3000 uses carrier-class Open Standards Telecom Architecture (OSTA) Platform as its hardware platform and uses Distributed Object-oriented Programmable Realtime Architecture (DOPRA) as its software platform. It supports hot plug. The key boards support 1+1/N+1 hot backup. It adopts modular design, consisting of interface module, system support module, signaling processing module, service processing module and back administration management (BAM) module.
High Integration and Powerful Processing Capability
The SoftX3000 has a processing capability of 16M BHCA. It can serve a maximum of 2 million users or equivalent 360,000 trunks.
Diversified Service Provisioning Capabilities
The SoftX3000 not only provides all services provided by the PSTN network, including Centrex services and intelligent services, but also provides new services, such as multimedia services, voice over IP (VoIP) services, short message (SM) services, supporting remote collaborative work services and unified communication only within an enterprise. It has open and standard interface to interwork with devices manufactured by other companies and functions as AGCF in the IMS network. All this helps to win customers and reduce operation and maintenance cost.
Strong Communication Capability
The SoftX3000, serving as the tandem office (C4), the toll office and the gateway office, processes diversified signaling, and provides services, including service switching point (SSP), black and white lists with large capacity, authentification, charging, and equal access. It also interworks with devices on other networks, such as time division multiplexing (TDM) network, third-party AS network, intelligent (IN) network, H323/session initiation protocol (SIP) network, public land mobile network (PLMN) network, IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) network, code division multiple access (CDMA) WLL wireless access, and hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) access network.
