Definition of SIGTRAN protocol and structure

SIGTRAN supports transmission of switched circuit network (SCN) signalling via IP network. SIGTRAN is a protocol stack rather than a protocol. It includes:

    1. Transmission protocol (SCTP)

    2. Adaptation protocols (M2UA and M3UA)
