1.Application Description What is the relationship between the LampSite solution and the SingleRAN solution? The LampSite solution can be regarded as an indoor SingleRAN solution applicable to distributed base stations. The LampSite solution is featured in an upper-level RRU HUB (RHUB) used to connect the baseband unit (BBU) and the pico remote radio unit (pRRU). The upper-level RHUB is used to converge and forward common public radio interface (CPRI) data to allow multiple pRRUs to serve multiple indoor floors or areas. 2.Documentation Description LampSite-related documents have been incorporated into the SingleRAN document system based on product characteristics. How to search for a LampSite-related document in this document system? The methods are introduced here by document type. 1) Product Documentation How to identify LampSite-related documents in product documentation? | Document Type | Example | Description | | Hardware documentation | LampSite Technical Description | Describes the product components, typical configurations, networking, and product specifications of the LampSite solution. | | LampSite Hardware Description | Describes the appearance, ports, indicators, cables, and engineering interface requirements of each functional module of the LampSite solution. | | LampSite Installation Guide | Describes installation scenarios of the LampSite solution and the related operation procedures. | | LampSite Site Maintenance Guide | Describes routine hardware maintenance items of the LampSite solution, including equipment maintenance items, power-on and power-off operations, and guidance for replacing components and modules. | | Software documentation | 3900 Series Base Station Initial Configuration Guide | Describes how to use the Configuration Management Express (CME) or MML commands to configure base stations. This document mainly applies to base station deployment during the initial network deployment phase. Note: The configuration of LampSite base stations differs from that of traditional 3900 series base stations. For example, chain configuration between the BBU and RHUB is required. The differences are introduced in the document. | | 3900 Series Base Station Commissioning Guide | Describes commissioning and initial verification operations performed on a base station after the hardware installation and initial configuration are complete. These operations ensure that the base station work properly. Note: The LampSite base station commissioning procedure is similar to that of traditional 3900 series base stations. The only difference is that some check items, such as antenna intermodulation interference detection, are not supported. The differences are introduced in the document. | | ... | | | Reference Documentation | 3900 Series Base Station MML Command Reference | Provides detailed information about the commands, parameters, alarms, and performance counters used in routine maintenance. Note: Reference documentation of LampSite base stations slightly differs from that of traditional 3900 series base stations. For example, command parameters related to sector equipment groups and RHUB-related parameters are added. The differences have been clarified in the document. | | 3900 Series Base Station Parameter Reference | | 3900 Series Base Station Alarm Reference | | 3900 Series Base Station Performance Counter Reference | | ... | | 2).Feature Documentation How to identify LampSite-related documents in feature documentation? In section 1.4 of each feature parameter description (FPD) document, the FPD application scope and differences between different types of base stations are introduced, as shown in the following figure. 3).Version Documentation - Release Notes: In the first version where the LampSite solution is introduced, LampSite-introduced contents are added to sections "Hardware Updates" and "Feature Updates." In later versions, LampSite-related information is written based on the release notes template if any updates are involved.
- Upgrade Guide: Upgrade operations of LampSite base stations are the same as those of traditional 3900 series base stations. Therefore, the same document is used.
- Delta: In the first version where the LampSite solution is introduced, LampSite-introduced contents are listed in each southbound change table. In later versions, LampSite-related information is written based on the release notes template if any updates are involved.
1) 4).NBI Documentation - List: Lists for LampSite base stations slightly differ from those of traditional 3900 series base stations. For example, command parameters related to sector equipment groups and RHUB-related parameters are added. The differences are introduced in each list.
- Change: In the first version where the LampSite solution is introduced, LampSite-introduced contents are listed in each change table. In later versions, LampSite-related information is written based on the release notes template if any updates are involved.
- Other NBI documents: LampSite base stations and 3900 series base stations share the same documents.
