The Eudemon 1000E functions as the Security Access Control Gateway (SACG) and interworks with the TSM terminal security management system to segment user roles, thus ensuring that users can access only the network resources which they have rights to. This helps prevent internal users from stealing confidential data or accessing application systems without permissions. The interworking of the Eudemon 1000E with the TSM mainly applies to medium-sized and small enterprise networks. The Eudemon 1000E can control accesses based on users roles. For terminal users, the TSM server accomplishes ID authentication and health check of the terminals, and then notifies the Eudemon 1000E so that the latter can control users accesses. The TSM interworking function is configurable and maintainable. The TSM interworking function also supports functions such as the dual-system hot backup and log server. |
