[O&M Master] Interesting Case.Paging response is receiving from those cell sites which are not defined at MSC level

O&M CASE Paging response was coming from those CGIs which were not configured at MSC end and MT call was getting connected. Alarm information None Cause PRN & Parallel paging is activated on MSC. Solution To improve call setup time PRN & Parallel paging is used, but by enabling it MSC also recieve paging response from undefined GCIs, to resolve this issue following soft parameter are used. set bit 2 of P1108 to 0. MOD MSFP: ID=P1108, MODTYPE=P1, BIT=2, BITVAL=0; note Bit 2 of P1108 (**** **** **** *X**) determines whether the MSOFTX3000 connects a call placed to a subscriber if it receives a paging response in which the GCI is not locally configured. This bit applies when the parallel paging function is enabled on the MSOFTX3000. = 0: The MSOFTX3000 does not connect the call. = 1: The MSOFTX3000 connects the call. The default value is 1. To disable the MSOFTX3000 to connect the call in the preceding scenario, set bit 2 of P1108 to 0. If bit 2 of P1108 is set to 0, the MT call will fail in the preceding scenario, leading to a drop in the call success rate. |
