Failed to Display the NE Panel
Fault Symptom The NE Panel on the U2000 cannot be displayed. Synchronizing NE panel data to the U2000 fails.
Fault Analysis ·The firewall on the server OS is enabled. ·The FTP server is not configured correctly. ·The SNMP timeout period and the number of retry times are not properly set. This case applies to routers and switches only.
Procedure 1. Disable the firewall on the server OS. 2. Check whether the FTP server is working properly. a. The FTP service process has started. b. The user status is unlocked. c. The user name and password are correct. NOTE: If the user can properly log in to the FTP client, check whether the xFTP test function of the client is working properly after the login succeeds. If the xFTP test function fails, change the permission for the root directory of a user to read and write.
3. Right-click the desired NE in the Main Topology and choose NE Explorer from the shortcut menu. 4. Choose Device Management > NE Panel from the navigation tree. 5. Click Synchronize to synchronize NE panel data to the U2000. a. Choose Administration > NE Communicate Parameter > NE Access Protocol Parameters from the main menu.. b. Double-click the corresponding SNMP record and set greater values for Retries and Timeout Interval.
