Intelligent Optical Route Scheduling

Abstract The U2000 ODN NMS can schedule appropriate optical routes based on scheduling parameters and network locations (service optical route, PON optical route, MAN optical route, or FTTx optical route). This improves the ease-of-use of the U2000 ODN NMS and O&M efficiency. Read the body for details. Body After splicing relationships are generated between devices, the U2000 ODN NMS can schedule appropriate optical routes based on scheduling parameters and network locations (service optical route, PON optical route, MAN optical route, or FTTx optical route). This improves the ease-of-use of the U2000 ODN NMS and O&M efficiency. Definition Automatic optical route scheduling is a process to find an optical route that traverses the fewest nodes starting from a start node to an end node. Applicable Scenario This function applies to all optical route scheduling scenarios. Optical routes are classified into service, PON, MAN, and FTTx optical routes. The conditions required for automatic scheduling vary with optical route types. Table 1-1 lists the requirements. Table 1-1 Categories of optical routes
Technical Principle To calculate the minimum number of nodes, minimum number of hops, and minimal attenuation between two devices, all paths must be covered. Then the total number of nodes, total number of hops, and total attenuation are calculated for each path. The U2000 ODN NMS sorts the paths by the attributes and generates an optimal route. You can select an optical route type, set scheduling parameters, and click Schedule. Then the U2000 ODN NMS schedules the optical route.
Function l Optical routes are scheduled by segments and include common routes and upstream and downstream optical routes above and below an optical splitter in the integrated service access area. − Optical route scheduling in the integrated service access area
− Common optical route scheduling l Port replacement: After an optical route is scheduled, users can replace ports on the optical route with standby ports if needed. l Optical route order creation and assignment: After an optical route is scheduled, users can set order parameters and specify implementation engineers. Then U2000 ODN NMS then will generate optical route orders in the Implementing state for active devices or in the To be implemented state for passive devices. l Ports on optical routes can be updated. For an optical route in the occupied state, a fiber change order is generated after port updates. |
