There are two types of ATPC adjustment event, one is positive adjustment event which is indicated by ATPC_P_ADJUST and another is negative adjustment event which is indicated by ATPC_N_ADJUST. 

The quality of a communication link will degrade if positive adjustment event occurs. Then it is needed to increase the transmit power to get required quality.

The quality of a communication link improves or the transmit power will become high if negative adjustment event occurs.Then it is needed to decrease the transmit power.

It does not affect services but the ATPC adjustment count is very large, the communication link may be faulty.
