Customer Defined Environment Alarm
|
Customer defined environment alarm refers to accessing the monitoring function of external environment alarms to the internal monitoring ports of the system according to the requirement of the operator, network or subscriber. This can uniformly manage the monitoring of external environment alarm items of the subscriber and internal alarms of the system. Usually, different types of environment parameter sensors are installed in the environment where the NE is located to monitor temperature, humidity, smog, waterlogging, access control and external power supply equipment in the equipment room. The environment parameter sensors transfer detection signals to NEs through the physical signal input port provided by NEs. After processing the detection signals, the NE reports an environment alarm to the NMS and local maintenance terminal if any exception occurs. With this function, the maintenance personnel can quickly detect environment exceptions in the equipment room. This plays an important role in ensuring equipment running.
Implemented node :MSC
Served network :GSM and UMTS
Service benefits:
Carriers can directly access the detected environment signals to the monitoring port of the local system without using the management system of other manufacturers. In addition, the alarm name and alarm severity can be defined according to the contents of the environment alarm.
Requirements for peripheral network entities: This function requires support from the M2000 NMS. |

The usefulness of this concept depends on the sensitivity of the sensors in use, you could have mentioned more on this. |
