Hi my Friend! If you mean that If OSN9800 can be used as an optical subrack I think is not possible. That?s because OSN9800 in my undertanding, is a big OTN services concentrator for big carrier grade services. In other words, if you need to transport a big amount of services and granularities this equipment is used to concentrate all in one device and you can cross-connect through electrical cross-connection. The WDM passive part should be done by another equipment like OSN8800 or OSN6800.

Am I right?

Hi my Friend!  For the product version of V100R001C00, the 9800 product series only include the 9800 U64 and 9800 U32, they are applied at the electercal layer, as sevillaf said, 9800 cannot be used as an optical subrack. But for the product version of V100R001C01 and later versions, the 9800 product series add 9800 universal platform subrack, this subrack is an optical subarck. So 9800 can use the 9800 U32 & U64 as electrical subrack and 9800 universal platform subrack as optical subrack, they can work together in OTN systems.
