It would be better if added some more description for the principle.

It is too short. Do you use the 1588V2?

In the MA5600T Product Documentation, there is 1588v2 feature.

You can have a look. Maybe it can help you.

Dear All,

Some words about 1588v2 accorrding to my personal experience in our network

1588v2 use IP/UDP transport, share the same IP links with traffic, QoS must be applied.

In case of no QoS and there is congestion on the IP link, the 1588 client ( LTE TDD eNodeB for example)  will loose clock, service will be impact in that case.

This is the only negative issue for 1588v2:   IP link dimensioning and QoS engineering must be done correctly prior to any deployment, not any mistake is allowed otherwise in case of congestion the clock is lost.

1588v2 deliver very precise and accurate time(  GPS like quality) , perfect and suitable  for LTE-TDD use ( very strict on phase synchronization quality)

1588v2 Server: can be many equipment’s:  standalone box from  some dedicated clock manufacturers, or router/transmission NE  whish have embedded 1588v2 server function

155v2 Client: can be any equipment on the whole transport chain until last node ( DSLAM,Microwave ,MSTP+, WDM ,routers..)

Generaly no problem on interoperability with different vendors as 1588v2 is on UDP/IP layer, since you have UDP/IP links and enough bandwidth, 1588v2 will work.

Huawei have IP Clock solution, a non standard solution but based on 1588v2 and very similar  bu can only access to Huawei clients ( BTS,NobeB and eNodeB)

We successfuly tested it in our commercial network

Regards

Saad
