Possible Causes

The causes of the GE optical interface fault on the HRU are as follows:

  • The IP interface is disabled through MOD IPIF.
  • The configurations of interface on the UMG8900 are inconsistent with the configurations of the interface on the interconnected device.
  • The optical fiber is not connected or is connected improperly.
  • The interconnected device is faulty.
  • The optical module is faulty.
  • The optical fiber is faulty.
  • The board hardware is faulty.

The causes of the cascading optical interface fault are as follows:

  • The optical fiber is damaged or is disconnected from the optical interface.
  • The optical module is faulty or not installed.
  • The NET, BLU, or NLU in the cascading frame is abnormal; therefore, the interface connected to the cascading frame is faulty.

GE optical interface fault/ FE interface fault is same or different?

GE is optical but FE is fast ethernet fault.

NET, BLU, or NLU board description:

The internal clocks synthesized and distributed by the MNET are as follows: 32.768 MHz clock: the TDM HW synchronous clock signals for the TDM bearer processing 38.88 MHz clock: the TDM SDH synchronous clock, including the synchronous clock required by the ATM and POS services in the SDH transmission mode 77.76MHz clock: the clock signal for the SDH 155 MHz line interface 2 kHz clock: the TDM SDH frame clock.

FLU(MFLU):

lProviding 1x8 K TDM data cascading channel for the MBLU.

lProviding 1x1.25 G IP data cascading channel for the MBLU.

lProviding 2x8 K TDM data cascading channels and 2x1.25 G GE data cascading channels for the MBLU by two MFLU boards in load-sharing mode.

lInteracting with the main control board through a dedicated maintenance module to monitor board temperature, voltage and control power-on/off.

"The configurations of interface on the UMG8900 are inconsistent with the configurations of the interface on the interconnected device " , how do you suggest to correct this especially when the peer end (interconnected device) cannot change the interface ?\
